Shortcut to Insert Date or Time in Your Document

There are keyboard shortcuts for inserting the date or time in your document.

Try these:

            For Date:  SHIFT+ALT+D
            For Time:  SHIFT+ALT+T

If you wish to change the format of the date and time, choose Date and Time from the Insert menu and select the format you prefer.

If you want Word to insert the date or time as a field, click on Insert as Field in the lower left corner of the Date and Time dialog box.  The next time you use the keyboard shortcut to insert a date it should default to the last format you chose.
